Specially designed to hold the pot/s in place or to be used without plant pots at all. The clam will fold around the pot or rootball and be locked in place using the outer boxes lock-in tabs which coordinate with inbuilt crevasses in the sides of the clam.
A gap or gaps at the top of the clam (when folded around the pot) allows the plant to be protected, yet allows the leaves to be damage free.
They are also great at transporting plants in ceramic pots. The softer pulp material cushions the ceramic pot which lessens any chance of damage during transport impacts. We recommend asking for a sample to try your ceramics in.
